HMS Severn passes through Tower Bridge into London for recommissioning ceremony

HMS Severn arrived into London on August 27 via Tower Bridge for a recommissioning ceremony. The bridge's bascules were raised to their full height, a custom when naval vessels pass through. The Royal Navy ship will berthed next to HMS Belfast until its departure next week on September 1. A striking and unusual aspect of the ship is it recieved a style of paintwork not applied since the Second World War.
