KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 — After eight long years, King of Cantopop, Aaron Kwok is back in Malaysia to entertain his eagerly awaiting fans.

The Aaron Kwok Amazing Kode World Tour Live in Malaysia 2023 will kick off at the Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands on June 23 with a total of three shows.

After tickets for the Hong Kong superstar’s two-day concert on June 24 and 25 sold out within hours, an additional show was added on June 23.

“After an eight-year absence, I am excited to be back in Malaysia, where some of my staunchest fans come from,” said Kwok at a recent press conference.

“My team and I are ready to give the most dazzling and magnificent performance to our Malaysian fans.”

Kwok was also presented with an award from the Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest) chairman Joanne Goh.

The Award for Excellent Achievement in Film given was in recognition for his tremendous achievements as an actor in the film industry.

“To me, every award is so important,” said Kwok, who acknowledged receiving the award by leaving a handprint on a special mould of clay.

“Every time I go on stage to receive an award, it reminds me of how I felt the very first time I won an award. The difference is that it has been almost 30 years since I became a film actor.”

Before the press conference ended, the 57-year-old father of two daughters talked about physically preparing for his upcoming shows here.

“I work out, do cardio and run every day to keep myself fit. In fact, (exercising) has long been a part of my life,” said Kwok, who exercises daily to ensure he has the stamina necessary to perform.

He also shared that he worked on three new songs for his next album and collaborated with American dancers.
