KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 — Some three years after his cheating scandal, Hong Kong entertainer Andy Hui is ready to return to the stage.

The 55-year-old made the announcement after appearing in a programme on ViuTV, Ming Pao reported.

Speaking to reporters after the recording, Hui said it was time for him to return to work after resting for a while.

"I must appreciate the opportunities given to me. I must work 1,000 times harder," he reportedly said, adding that he keeps busy by exercising and learning new songs.

Asked if he was worried that people may not accept him, Hui said he would still persevere.

On former TVB actress Jacqueline Wong moving on with her life and now dating musician Lai Man, Hui claimed he was not aware of the development.

"Whatever happened previously is in the past. Let's look forward to the future," he said.

Hui was caught kissing Wong at the back of a taxi in 2019. That incident led to him taking a break from showbiz while Wong was released by TVB from her eight-year bond with the station.
