This season of Home Town has been filled with twists and turns, from controversial design decisions to stars Ben and Erin Napier facing the "true test" of their marriage (spoiler alert—it involved hanging curtains). But the newest episode features a different kind of surprise: Erin showing off her not-so-hidden talent!

Longtime fans of the show know that, in addition to being an accomplished designer, TV star, artist, and author, Erin can sing. The Laurel, Mississippi native has showcased her talent, both on her Instagram account and on a 2020 episode of Home Town.

Now, she's sharing her gift once again, but this time, she's reuniting with a friend from high school. In a teaser from the new episode of Home Town, Ben and Erin team up with homeowner Brad Smith to update his home.

Erin says she and Brad go "way back." She explains, "We were music kids. That's what we loved." The two performed in their high school's show choir and, at age 15, formed a band called Sunday's Maria. Erin explains that she sung and played rhythm guitar, while Brad played drums. The video from HGTV shows clips of their old performances.

There's no lore quite like dragon lore.

Ben and Brad teamed up to convince Erin to reunite Sunday's Maria for the episode. Erin said, "Ben asks me weekly, 'What if we got your guitar out and I cleaned it up good for you and you could play us a song?'" Ben said, "I've been chomping at the bits wanting this to happen."

We'll have to tune in to Home Town to see the performance! Judging by Ben's reaction, it will definitely be worth watching.
