'Heroic Actions': Boulder Police Chief Gets Emotional Describing Killed Officer's Response

Police and local government authorities in Boulder, Colorado, addressed the media in a press conference, after news of an active shooter on Monday, March 22.

Multiple police units responded to reports of the shooting at the King Soopers supermarket at around 2:50 pm local time on Monday.

Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said ten people were killed during the attack, including police officer Eric Talley.

Herold became emotional during the press conference, describing Talley’s actions as “heroic” as he was the first officer to arrive on the scene when he was shot.
