Here's the real-life drama that Selling Sunset season 3 didn't include

Selling Sunset season 3 spoilers follow.

A much-needed distraction, Selling Sunset season three returned to Netflix today (August 7) with a fresh batch of botox, burgers and bingeable drama.

The Oppenheim Group's squad of uber-glam real estate agents reunited in front of the cameras once again, with the latest episodes offering more insight into the circumstances around Chrishell Stause's divorce, and ending on the drama that was Christine Quinn's winter wonderland wedding.

Most of these events seem to have been from around Christmas time, but in the real world there have been all sorts of developments for the cast of our new favourite reality show.

We'd hope that these will be picked up in season four, but here's what you missed in more recent months...

Chrishell and Christine have fallen out again - big time

Season three left off with Chrishell making the difficult decision to be a guest at Christine's wedding. Despite their previous arguments, the pair had seemed to find a little common ground during the third batch of episodes and despite her very recent (at that time) and painful split from former husband Justin, Chrishell sat by Amanza to watch their colleague say her vows.

After Davina made some very pointed comments about this breakup, which came across as not being all that supportive, Chrishell ended up walking out of the wedding reception. As viewers of the show will know Davina is closest to Christine, and the pair – with the addition of Heather – have each other's backs quite a bit. There's a clear divide between this group and Mary, Amanza and Chrishell.

Away from the cameras, it was recently revealed that something has unfolded between Christine and Chrishell in private, leading Chrishell to block Christine on Instagram. We don't know very much more than that, other than Chrishell has "screenshots" of whatever it was that led to Christine's removal from her social media page and that Chrishell thinks "it would be embarrassing to her" if anyone saw them.

"At the end of the day, I know why she's blocked. She knows why she's blocked," Chrishell also said in the interview, with the BBC podcast The Reality Tea, back in June. "I'm not going to allow her to do that on my social media. So you're going to come onto my page and bring toxic insults and toxic energy, block."

Fast-forward to July, and Christine publicly spoke on Chrishell's divorce – something that Chrishell then came out against, claiming that her co-star "knows absolutely nothing about the situation."

In response to Christine's interview, Chrishell wrote on Twitter: "I just learned Christine is giving press 'information' about my divorce. Let me be VERY clear, she knows absolutely nothing about the situation and is obviously desperate to gain attention by doing so. Anything from her is either a complete lie or total conjecture on her part.

"It's so frustrating and unfortunate that someone would use someone's personal painful situation to get press for themselves. I can't say I am surprised, but please check the source. She has absolutely zero knowledge of the marriage we had."

Christine then responded, again through Twitter, arguing that she "didn't say anything bad at all".

Most recently Christine responded to a fan joke about her being the main character of the show (instead of Chrishell, who features at the centre of Netflix's promo picture), and she pointedly replied: "My back hurts from carrying this show..."

In much happier news, Maya, who was expecting her second child during the recent season, has now had a daughter. She announced the heartwarming news to her Instagram followers back in May, revealing that the new addition to her family was named Ellie.

To celebrate, Maya and her husband settled down to watch season two of Selling Sunset with a bottle of champagne.

...And it seems certain people weren't invited to the party.

As you'd expect, Mary and Chrishell (who was also celebrating her belated birthday) posted up a storm on social media with lots of fun pictures of the gathering. But it looked like Maya, Davina and Christine missed out on the day.

Maya was probably with her family (she splits her time between states) and rumour has it that Davina may have been on holiday at the time, but Christine reportedly told a fan that she 'hadn't been invited' (via Express).

Does the drama ever end?

Heather is finally engaged

She talked about it enough during season three, but since filming Heather's partner has put a ring on it.

Announcing the news on Instagram with a snap of their romantic holiday together, Heather wrote: "When we took this picture Little did I know the next day you would get down on one knee and ask me to be your wife! [sic]"

Meanwhile, Tarek posted on his page: "We had such an exciting weekend!!! I can't believe we are engaged!!! I’m so excited for the future Mrs: El Moussa!!!

"I just love this girl so much and it was such an incredible experience. We had so much fun in Catalina the last few days and we are so excited to share the details!"

We fully expect this wedding to be part of a future season of Selling Sunset. It would be rude not to, right?

Heather has filmed another reality show

Her (now) fiancé Tarek fronts his own show, Flipping 101, where he mentors contestants through the process of learning how to flip houses.

It's a match made in heaven when you think of Selling Sunset and Heather's career, so it's unsurprising that she filmed a cameo for an upcoming episode (due to air later this year).

Some of the cast are still talking about leaving The Oppenheim Group

We saw some tensions brewing between a few of the real estate agents and the owners of the company, particularly when it came to competitiveness at work.

In season three the question was raised around whether or not some of them might go it alone, away from the company. And more recently, Christine echoed those conversations in an interview with Metro.

"You know, Davina and I have had conversations, and Maya has had conversations, and Heather has had conversations, all together and separate," she told the publication. "All I'm going to say is, it's hard working for a man. It is. I'm not going to lie. So there's times where we've definitely thought about doing other things."

Later confirming that she's not quite ready to walk out of the door of the Oppenheim Group just yet, she added: "Right now I do like being a part of [the] family, I really, really do. I like having that dynamic but it needs to have a little bit of healing, and mend itself first. If I ever saw myself leaving, it would be to work with only women."

That's a Selling Sunset spin-off in the making right there…
