Helicopter Makes Water Drop to Cool Flames of Nk’Mip Creek Wildfire

Firefighters worked to contain the Nk’Mip Creek wildfire burning near Oliver, British Columbia, as officials reported on July 27 that the blaze had reached 6,800 hectares.

This footage, posted to Facebook by Oliver Fire Department on July 27, shows a helicopter making a water drop over the flames as the crew fought the fire.

“This helicopter pilot made a perfect drop to cool the fire down for us,” the post reads.
