Helicopter Hoists Water from Canyon Lake to Fight South Dakota Fires

Firefighters collected water to battle a blaze outside of Rapid City, South Dakota, on March 30, as the so-called Schroeder Fire burned over 2,000 acres.

The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday that evacuation orders were in place for many areas in the path of the Pennington County wildfires and that many roads in the area were blocked.
