Snow covered parts of central Colorado on Thursday, May 11, as a winter storm warning was issued in the area.

Footage captured by Bob Ploetz shows snow coming down in Winter Park on Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service said the winter storm warning would remain in effect until Friday afternoon, while severe thunderstorms could bring “large hail, lightning, and strong winds” to other parts of the region through Thursday evening. Credit: Bob Ploetz via Storyful
