'Heaven': Man Enjoys First Pint of Guinness After Reopening of London Pubs

London pubs reopened under “Tier 2” status on December 2, meaning that they can only serve alcoholic drinks alongside food that constitutes a “substantial meal,” reports said.

Local Paul Brown said he enjoyed a full English breakfast, a pint of Guinness, an apple crumble, and a Jägerbomb at a pub in Leicester Square on Wednesday.

“So you’re only allowed to have one drink when the food comes, and then one when you’re eating food, maybe two. So I decided – clever – to order dessert. Apple crumble with ice cream and a Jägerbomb,” said Brown in a video on Twitter.

Reports said restaurants, indoor shopping, gyms, and pools were also allowed to reopen under Tier 2 of the COVID-19 plan. Credit: Paul Brown via Storyful
