Heather Rae El Moussa is not letting the haters get to her.

After receiving backlash for leaving out her stepdaughter Taylor in a Valentine’s Day post on Wednesday, the Flipping El Moussas star took to her Instagram Story to set the record straight.

“We close our ears to the pettiness. We strive for positivity only. My girl knows she’s my #1 gal 🤍,” she wrote over a photo of her hugging her stepdaughter.

Along with Taylor, 13, Heather is stepmom to Brayden, 8, whom her husband Tarek shares with his ex, Christina Hall. Tarek and Heather also welcomed their son Tristan, 1, in Feb. 2023.

In addition to the photo, the real estate agent recorded a clip of her and Tarek watching Taylor’s volleyball game on Thursday. “Go Tay!!! My forever galentine 🤍🤍🤍” she added in white text over the video.

The initial Valentine's Day post that Heather shared on Wednesday included a gallery of photos featuring Tristan, Tarek and Brayden, while Taylor was missing from both the photos and caption.

"Happy Valentine's day to my boys T, T & B," she wrote. "I have never felt so much love in my life. All 3 keep me on my toes but I wouldn't want it any other way. I am so grateful to have you as my husband my best friend my partner @therealtarekelmoussa. You are my person, and the best daddy I could've ever asked for. I love you very much honey and I love you Tristan and Bray."

In the comments, fans questioned why she only chose to celebrate the boys in the family.

"I always love your content but intrigued now by only the boys?" one person wrote, while another added, "You can wish a girl happy Valentine's too. Sad to just say the male kids.”

Others pointed out how the post might make Taylor feel excluded: "What a way to make her feel less than the boys."

"Completely out of touch. It doesn't matter where Tay was the fact that she didn't mention her on a day we celebrate our loved ones shows her character. So inconsiderate," wrote another.
