Health sec: 'I'm very keen that patients are seen'

Health Secretary Therese Coffey has doubled down on her demand that GP surgeries ensure patients are seen within two weeks of needing an appointment. During a visit to a London practice she said: "I'm very keen that patients are seen … that's the way they can get diagnosed and get, if necessary, care and treatment. I have not apologised at all for saying it's my expectation that when somebody phones up and they need an appointment, that they get that appointment within a fortnight.".
