Hawa Rizwana apologises for recent wardrobe choice

21 Dec - Hawa Rizwana has decided to apologise for her recent choice of wardrobe to host an event in the city.

The TV personality, who was criticised for wearing a tight-fitted leather jeans which many deemed unsuitable for a hijab-wearing lady, stated that she didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings by it, and will accept all criticisms with an open heart.

"I was hosting a rock-themed event at the time, so I hired a stylist to prepare a suitable wardrobe for the theme. I do admit that I love to be more attuned to such a thing when it comes to work. But I am more of a casual and relax kind of person in my free time," she said.

Hawa, who is also the co-host of Astro's "MeleTOP", also stated that she would always ask the opinions of the people around her before sharing photos on social media, and would delete any photos that her family deemed inappropriate.

"In this situation, I realised that some may not be happy with the style that I chose, so I am sorry for that," she added.

Previously, a number of netizens took to the comments section to express their feelings about Hawa's style, with one saying that a hijab-wearing person should be taking care of all aspects of her image, instead of only covering her hair.

Another reminded the former "Wanita Hari Ini" presenter to maintain her previous feminine image instead of trying to be another entertainment host.
