Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva has admitted he is yet to speak to Julen Lopetegui about whether he has a long-term future at the club.

The Portuguese forward has been speaking to Marca in Spain about his career so far and what the future may hold for him, whether that is away from Molineux or not.

Silva is currently spending the second half of the campaign on loan in Holland with PSV, having spent the first half of the season at Anderlecht.

And it’s fair to say that the 20-year-old has so far impressed, scoring five times in 17 games in all competitions for the Dutch giants.

His current loan deal is due to run out in a matter of weeks and although there is no option to buy, PSV are said to have already made that proposition to Wolves only to see it rejected.

Silva, though, admits that he is open to a move anywhere that can offer him stability, but insists he’s not yet discussed the matter with Wolves.

“I don’t know what will happen in the summer, I haven’t spoken to Lopetegui yet, but I have a contract with Wolverhampton,” he said.

“I think it is important to settle in a place to leave your mark. When you are young you need minutes. Always changing from one team to another is not easy.

“It (La Liga) is the league that I follow the most. I dream of playing there one day because I think it is the football that best suits my style of play. In addition, I like the culture, language…everything.”

Judging by those comments, it appears that Silva is angling towards a move to Spain, although Wolves and Lopetegui will clearly have a say about that.

Wolves, fresh off their 2-0 defeat at Manchester United, are back in action on Saturday when they host Everton in the Premier League.
