Harry Styles had a pretty scary encounter this weekend. According to the Mirror Online, while out in London on Friday night, the singer was confronted by a man, who demanded cash from Harry and pulled out a knife.

"He actually played it pretty cool," a source said. Harry quickly handed over the cash, "keeping himself and the guy calm and getting the situation over with."

Of course, Harry was "very shaken up afterwards" thanks to the whole encounter.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that there was a robbery in Spaniards Road, Hampstead, where Harry was walking on Friday night. While they didn't name Harry as the victim, they told E! News that a "man in his 20s was approached by another man and threatened him with a knife. The victim was not injured however, cash was taken from him."

The robbery came just a few hours before the upsetting news that Harry's ex, Caroline Flack, was found dead in her London home on Saturday after taking her own life.

Harry and Caroline dated in 2011 after they met on the X-Factor where Caroline was a presenter. "I already knew that he had a crush on me, he’d made it pretty obvious," she said in her autobiography, Storm in a C Cup. "He’d said it in magazines and he’d said it to friends."

The two didn't last too long, however. Their age difference caused some problems (Harry was 17 and Caroline was 31) and once fans found out about the relationship, Caroline said she started getting death threats. "It began to go wrong when Harry was pictured coming out of my house one morning. And once that was out, it was open season," she wrote. "After that anyone could say anything. In the street people started shouting at me 'pedophile' and 'pervert.'"

On Tuesday, Harry attended the Brit Awards, where he wore a black ribbon on his jacket. The black ribbon is often used as a symbol or mourning, and it's thought that he wore it as a tribute to Caroline.
