Harris to sit for additional interview with Charlamagne tha God
Vice President Harris will sit for another interview with Charlamagne tha God on Tuesday morning. It will be her second interview with the radio host since announcing her campaign back in July.
Harris sat with Charlamagne two weeks ago for a town hall in Detroit.
She faced questions from both the radio host and his audience, though the interview was cut short at the end.
That interview gave Harris the opportunity to speak directly to Black voters, who overwhelmingly support her over former President Trump despite her struggles with young Black men.
Harris touted her history as a prosecutor and her “Opportunity for Black Men” agenda. She spoke of addressing police brutality and responded to allegations that she is “scripted” in all her interviews.
Tuesday’s interview on “The Breakfast Club,” set to air at 7 a.m., comes one week ahead of Election Day.
The race for the White House is incredibly close, and both Harris and Trump are hoping to build Black voter support in the last few days.
The voting bloc was crucial to electing President Biden in 2020, but Democrats have seen slipping support over the last several elections.
