Travis Canfield was “a dedicated husband, and a beloved father” who was the “sole breadwinner” of the family, according to a GoFundMe for his family
A father of four was killed and his wife seriously injured in a horrific car crash in eastern Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Travis Canfield, 32, was first involved in a single-car crash around 10:45 p.m. local time on Callicoon Road in Damascus Township, according to a crash report from state police.
Travis and his wife Karson “riding on their side-by-side” vehicle when the “horrific motor vehicle accident” occurred, pero a GoFundMe for the family.
Police said Travis “was ejected onto the roadway” as a result of the crash. He was then struck by a 2015 Dodge Caravan that was also traveling on Callicoon Road.
The GoFundMe states that Travis was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. His wife, who was critically injured in the crash, was airlifted to a hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit.
Travis and Karson share four children ages 11 and under, according to organizers for the GoFundMe campaign: Parker, Natalie, Mason and Brantley.
The GoFundMe organizers described Travis as “a dedicated husband, and a beloved father” who was the “sole breadwinner” of the family.

“Travis was a hardworking, loyal, faithful, and true father and husband to his family,” the organizers wrote. “He was a good friend to all in the community and was there when anyone needed help.”
The father of four also attended all of his children’s soccer games and school events, they added, noting, “whatever his children needed him to be there for.”
“The word ‘Dad’ and ‘Husband’ and ‘Trusted Friend’ personify who he was as a person,” the organizers said.
Fallon Quick, Karson’s brother, said on Facebook that the family is “heartbroken and picking up the pieces” in the wake of Travis’ sudden death.
“Please keep my sister, Karson Canfield, her four beautiful children, and our family in your thoughts and prayers,” he wrote in a Facebook post, alongside a link to the GoFundMe campaign. As of Thursday afternoon, more than $95,000 has been raised.
Donations can also be made by calling any dime bank location and requesting to donate to the “Travis Canfield Memorial Fund,” according to the campaign.
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️,” the organizers wrote.
