With season 2 of Hanna set to stream on Amazon Prime Video next month, Marissa Wiegler star Mireille Enos has discussed some tough challenges ahead.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the American actress (whose character was played by Cate Blanchett in the original movie) teased: "I think the biggest challenge with Marissa this season is to start to let that flavour of her maternal instinct, kind of like to seep through the cracks.

"I think it's strange for her and so letting just like the little drops of that seep in."

Meanwhile, John Carmichael star Dermot Mulroney also opened up about his work on season 2.

"I found it a very complex character to work on," he admitted. "I didn't always have – or at least at first I didn't always have all the pieces to the story, therefore I couldn't quite dial in the character.

"I have a high bar to meet, to pull in a character like this on a show like Hanna that they made so well in season one. So it took a lot of figuring, this part, for what that's worth."
