Hannah Godwin Reveals That Moving Her Mom ‘Out from Alabama’ Was the 'Best Day of My Entire Life'
"It changed my life," the 'Bachelor' alum said of the major milestone on Jason Tartick’s podcast, 'Trading Secrets'
Hannah Godwin is opening up about her "proudest moment."
In a recent episode of Bachelor alum Jason Tartick’s podcast, Trading Secrets, Godwin opened up about the special accomplishment.
“The biggest thing, and I will say this for the rest of my entire life — moving my mom out from Alabama,” she said. “That was truly the best day of my entire life. It changed my life.”
Godwin then shared how the whole move came to be.
“She was in Alabama. She was working at LensCrafters in a mall. And then I found a place down the street from me in San Diego. That day I was like, ‘Why don’t you just put in your notice? Let’s just do it,” she recounted.

From there, the reality star said she was “able to move her out and she loves San Diego.”
“That’s my biggest accomplishment ever,” she said, adding how often they hang out now that they live close to each other again. “I hung out with her last night. We watched movies together.”
Godwin, who appeared on Colton Underwood’s season 23 of The Bachelor and later went on to marry Bachelor in Paradise co-star Dylan Barbour, recently opened up about her time on the ABC hit.
She responded to a fan who posted a TikTok asking what flights are like while filming the show.
“When we were overseas, [the women] would all get on first because we had seats in the back in random spots and stuff," she explained. "And then the Bachelor and the host – at the time it was Chris Harrison – would get on last and they would get to sit in the front" in order to limit off-camera interactions between him and the contestants.
The mystery of not knowing exactly where the Bachelor was sitting would always spark excitement among the contestants, she said.
“We were always like ‘Is our Bachelor here in the front?’ Like we wouldn’t know if he was in there. I think he’d wear like a hoodie,” she added.
Godwin also revealed in the comments that the contestants weren’t allowed to bring a book or their phones during travel. While in-flight, she would keep busy by talking to her friends across the aisle.
“I remember they wanted us to keep talk about what was happening on the show pretty minimal on the planes — like we weren’t really supposed to talk about it,” she said. “Because if we weren’t mic’d, they obviously wanted to capture whatever you were saying or thinking on camera.”
