A new look at Halloween Kills delivers a very ominous warning.
The next sequel in the iconic horror movie franchise released a tense trailer just in time for the spooky season on Thursday (October 29), offering the first look at two characters returning from the original film.
Anthony Michael Hall takes over the role of Tommy Doyle and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards reprises her role as Lindsey Wallace, the two children Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) was babysitting on the night of Michael Myers' 1978 killing spree.
Now adults, Tommy and Lindsey end up in Michael's crosshairs once again as he returns to his murderous ways after surviving the fire at the end of 2018's Halloween.
"Next Halloween, when the sun sets and someone is alone, he kills," Laurie warns in the new footage.
Michael does look more dangerous than ever, now donning a half-melted mask as he lumbers around Haddonfield in search of his sister and her family.
While the film was recently delayed all the way to October 2021, director David Gordon Green has at least given some hints about what can be expected from the next instalment in the Halloween saga.
"If the first film was somewhat retelling the origin of Myers and getting us up to speed with where Laurie had been all those years, then part two is about the outrage of Haddonfield," Green told Total Film.
"Mob Rules was our working title for the film. It's about a community that is united by outrage, and divided in how to deal with evil."
