Hailstorm Hits Southern Kansas
Parts of southern Kansas saw heavy rain and hail as a storm system carrying lightning, wind, and rain moved over the area on May 31.
Lynn Karma Snyder said she filmed this footage in Arkansas City, south of Wichita, on Tuesday. The National Weather Service (NWS) warned of hail up to two inches in diameter, as well as frequent lightning strikes and scattered wind gusts up to 70 mph.
A flood warning was in effect for Arkansas City through June 4, per the NWS.
