By now, everyone knows the drill: Hailey Bieber looks absolutely stunning and her husband, Justin Bieber, is just there. She's wearing a red-hot micro-mini coordinated to her strawberry-themed launch and he's in a baseball cap and a hoodie. At the Grammys, she wore a white column gown and he wore a suit with a wife pleaser. And while it's fun to play that game, Hailey opened up about how she and her husband's styles don't necessarily vibe (but sometimes they manage) — and how that's totally fine.

In a new interview with GQ Hype, Hailey mentioned that she knows about all the memes that sprung up around that red dress and Justin's decidedly dressed-down 'fit. She added that when the two of them get ready, it's more about a feeling than anything else and they don't ever get together to talk about exactly what the other decided to put on.

“It’s so funny because I see so many people talk about this,” Hailey said. She explained that Justin, generally speaking, gets ready before she does and “he may want to wear baggy sweats to dinner, and I might want to wear a tiny little dress just because that’s how I’m feeling. We can’t sit there and be like, ‘So, I’m going to wear this and you’re going to wear this.’”

Hailey's BFF, pro surfer Kelia Moniz, even got in on the discourse, telling GQ, "It’s like, it wasn’t Justin’s day. It was Hailey’s day. He’s there to support his wife, period. But also, he still looks cool, so you can’t hate the guy.”

Hailey also spoke about her first meeting with Justin and reminded everyone that they were just kids, which may have something to do with how chill they are when they're around each other.

“I actually met him when I was 12,” she explained. “So, I’ve known him for a really long time.”
