Hail Makes Tasty Treat for California German Shepherd

A German Shepherd mix named Kaya was fascinated as small hail fell in southern California on Monday, January 25.

Footage shared on Instagram shows the excited pup tasting the icy rain, which fell on Monday afternoon over Canyon Country, a neighborhood in Santa Clarita.

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles said it had received reports of small hail “from San Luis Obispo County to Ventura County” on Monday, as well as over three inches of snow in Frazier Park. Credit: Kaya Lucas via Storyful
