Gwyneth Paltrow is a poster child for all things health and wellness, and while her website Goop might have gotten some stick, her most recent post about, ahem, self-pleasure certainly has our nod of approval.

In an article titled: The Best Vibrators for Solo Pleasure and Partner Play, Gwyneth shared a pretty extensive list of toys, as well as various tips and tricks to really nailing self-stimulation whilst isolating.

It's no secret that the actor turned businessperson champions vaginal health and sexual wellness on her lifestyle brand. In the past, she famously shared advice about the effects of vaginal steaming, which received a fair amount of backlash.

The article comes soon after the 47-year-old shared a YouTube video of herself and husband Brad's session with intimacy coach Michaela Boehm. In the video, 'How Do You Find Intimacy In Uncertain Times?' Gwyneth appeared to hint that bother her and her husband were feeling sexually frustrated during isolation.

So what did she recommend?

Smile Makers - The Frenchman Vibrator

Gwyneth says this vibrator from female-owned sex toy brand Smile Makers is perfect for anyone who loves "tongue action".

Dame Products - Pom

She also recommended one of Cosmopolitan UK's favourite brands of all time, Dame Products. Dame's vibrator Pom is so cute, coated in super soft silicone and really well made.

Womanizer

The Womanzier is one of the best oral sex toys in existence, and Gwyneth knows this. It stimulates your clitoris without even coming into contact with it. IKR! It sends out pressure waves that mimic the feeling of receiving oral sex.

Wand vibrators

She also recommended wand vibrators, which if you're into power are the perfect sex toy for you. They (usually) plug into the wall because they require so much power and deliver amazing levels of intense vibration. Our fave is the Doxy wand, as it's made in Cornwall and built to last.

Speaking to Michaela, Gwyneth said: "There is quite a lot of stress that comes from trying to recalibrate to this new normal and this level of proximity and so then as a couple, I think a lot of our friends for example are going through this. Where do you go as a couple when you're all in the house... what are you supposed to do?"

She also mentioned that her friend of hers was struggling with anxiety over the coronavirus and as a result was feeling non-sexual during isolation. "What would you recommend for women to get back in touch with their sexuality?" Gwyneth asked Michaela.

"Most women I've talked to are not feeling very sexual. The female body when put under stress goes into survival mode," she replied. "Food, comfort and eating sweets to up the body fat - most women are reporting these are the things they want to do. They don't want so much pleasure."

Michaela went on to say that "one of the most important things is that there is physical engagement" and advised people to "engage with their senses."
