On Thursday, May 16, the A-list couple hit the stage at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The rocker, 54, and country star, 47, performed a sweet, upbeat rendition of their duet "Purple Irises," which they released in February and debuted live at the Super Bowl LVIII TikTok Tailgate event.

Stefani dressed on theme, rocking a glittery, purple bodysuit with an enlarged iris attached to the front of the look, as the pair sang in harmony.

The annual event, which is in its 59th year, was hosted by country living legend Reba McEntire.

"I like to go visit with everyone. I love live television. I get to sing a song, see what everybody else is promoting, their new material, but basically just to get to see my old friends and meet new people," the 69-year-old “Fancy” singer told PEOPLE ahead of the ceremony.

And the awards show served as a bit of a reunion for McEntire and Stefani, who both previously served as judges on The Voice.

The Reba alum briefly stepped in last year after Shelton made his exit from the NBC singing competition series after 23 seasons.

"The country lane — I'm taking over for Blake so I'm gonna represent country music. [He's got] big boots. I don't know what size those boots are, but they're big, so I'm gonna really work hard to make him proud," the “I’m a Survivor” hitmaker told PEOPLE in May 2023.

McEntire also shared how the "Just a Girl" artist inspired her to take more fashion risks.

"I do understand that I need to go razzle-dazzle with Gwen being on there," she said. "Gwen's always got the nicest outfits, so I really need to step up my game on that."
