'You guys paid for all this': Bezos thanks Amazon staff, customers

Bezos, the world's richest man, soared about 66.5 miles (107 km) above the Texas desert aboard his company Blue Origin's New Shepard launch vehicle and returned safely to Earth, a historic suborbital flight that helps to inaugurate a new era of private commercial space tourism.

"I want to thank every Amazon employee and every Amazon customer, because you guys paid for all of this," said Bezos. "So, seriously, for every Amazon customer out there and every Amazon employee, thank you from the bottom of my heart very much."

"It's very appreciated," he added.
