The film follows a travel journalist (Knightley) who is sent to cover a story on a luxury yacht when she is woken up in the middle of the night by screams. Looking for the source of the trouble, she witnesses a passenger being thrown overboard in her neighboring cabin. The next day her testimony goes unnoticed as everyone in the ship is accounted for and present. What happens next sets the storyline for a nerve-wracking thriller.
The film is directed by Simon Stone, who previously worked with Netflix on the historical drama “The Dig,” starring Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes and Lily James. Sister, co-founded by Elizabeth Murdoch and Jane Featherstone and led by CEO Cindy Holland, produces with Debra Hayward, and Sister’s Ilda Diffley executive producing.
Pearce will next be seen in David Cronenberg’s “The Shrouds” and Brady Corbet’s “The Brutalist.” Waddingham appeared in “The Fall Guy” and will be seen in “Mission: Impossible 8.” Mbatha-Raw most recently appeared in the “Loki” series and in Netflix’s film “Lift.”
