Growing Mosquito Fire Destroys Multiple Structures

Evacuation warnings and orders remained in place for areas around the Mosquito Fire in California’s Placer and El Dorado counties on September 13, as officials reported increased activity, including a spot fire that grew to 300 acres.

By the early hours of September 14, the fire had burned 50,330 acres and was 25 percent contained.
