Green Giant certainly knows how to turn cauliflower into what seems like junk food — case in point, those garlicky cauliflower breadsticks. Just when we thought it couldn’t get much better, the brand has unveiled its Veggie Rings and Veggie Fries, a healthier take on the classic french fries and onion rings.

The new offerings, which are expected to hit the freezer aisle this fall, come in a bunch of varieties, so you certainly have your work cut out for you on the tasting front. The “fries” come in Zucchini Garlic & Parmesan, Broccoli & Cheese, and Cauliflower Ranch with Bacon and have one full serving of vegetables. For the “onion rings,” both varieties are made with real cauliflower, so you’ll get to try the Cauliflower Three Cheese with Bacon and Cauliflower French Onion. The Veggie Rings and Veggie Fries both of a crispy coating, so they’ll be reminiscent of the actual foods.

Keep an eye on the freezer aisle at your grocery store, because these should be rolling out within the next month if that haven’t already. Each bag is $3.99 and contains enough to be a side dish for two or three people.

It’s always interesting to see how healthier versions of traditionally unhealthy foods compare, so I had to give the fries and onion rings a try for myself. If you have any doubt that these are anything less than delicious, you can relieve your brain from that thought. Out of the two, I prefer the Veggie Rings, the Cauliflower French Onion, specifically, but both get an A in my book. They’re fun, crispy finger foods that taste healthier than the classic fried versions!

Gone are the days where fries and onion rings aren’t part of a healthier diet! It looks like we know what we’ll be having for dinner tonight.
