A fisherman filmed the moment a great white shark jumped from the water off the coast of Bowentown, New Zealand, on March 29.
The footage, taken by Josh Lonergan, shows the marine behemoth breaching the water, its mouth closing around Lonergan’s bait.
“I was speechless. I felt lucky to catch a shot like that,” Lonergan told Storyful.
Lonergan told Stuff he was hauling in his catch when he noticed the shark. He then teased it with a kahawai head, allowing him to capture this dramatic shot. Credit: Josh Lonergan via Storyful
