Graeme Souness has taken aim at Manchester City winger Jack Grealish, as the Englishman “does not deliver enough” for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Souness has been on fire in recent weeks, unjustifiably slagging people off left right and centre.

The Liverpool legend has been involved in a strange feud with ex-Aston Villa captain Tyrone Mings.

Ten biggest disappointments of the Premier League season, including a Man United signing

He has also taken aim at new Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, claiming his appointment is a “risk” because he “doesn’t know our game”. For Christ’s sake, Graeme.

Now Grealish is the latest to feel the wrath of the Scotsman. The ex-Aston Villa star joined Man City last summer for around £100m.

The 27-year-old has struggled to live up to expectations since moving to the Etihad, but he did get on the scoresheet against Wolves over the weekend.

Guardiola has moved to defend the midfielder in recent weeks. This is while a not particularly reliable outlet is reporting that Grealish ‘expects’ to leave Man City next summer.

Souness has spoken on Grealish’s time at Man City so far. The pundit does not think that he has improved since leaving Aston Villa last year:

“Jack Grealish is a good footballer, he is not a great player,” Souness told talkSPORT.

“He is a good player who got a big move and is yet to do it at Man City. I go back to his days at Aston Villa where I think they were in the Premier League for two years and in both years he was the most fouled player in the Premier League.

“I see that two ways, I see it that you are having too many touches if you are the most fouled player and the reason you’re the most fouled player is that you’re not seeing the picture quick enough.

“I understand why people think that he is better than what he actually is, because he runs with the ball, he gets you on the edge of your seat but he doesn’t deliver enough. He doesn’t see the picture, the right picture, and he doesn’t deliver it quick enough.

“I think if he was being a star every weekend then we would not be having this type of conversation about him. I was willing to cut him some slack because there is some genuine ball-playing dribbling talent there.

“I thought he would go to City, every day in training be asked to do it quicker, he would be asked to deliver on what he sees quicker, and it has not happened for him. I see the same Jack Grealish today as I saw at Aston Villa a couple of years ago.”
