(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) ANGELICA TORRES, CONSERVATIONIST, SAYING:

"This little sapling, we're going to take care of it and you are going to take care of it too, so that in the future you can watch it grow just like you are growing."

Angelica Torres is on a personal crusade to fight climate change

with help from the charity The Nature Conservancy

Torres leads a team of women in a community near Monterrey

For more than a decade they have lovingly nurtured saplings

to be used in reforestation projects in the region

(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) ANGELICA TORRES, CONSERVATIONIST, SAYING: "The young need to take care of the environment, to take care of the forest to the max, because this forest is the strength of all Mexicans and nations."
