'We Got Him!' Texas Firefighters Rescue Kitten From Storm Drain

Firefighters rescued a kitten who was heard crying while trapped in a storm drain in the Teravista neighborhood of Round Rock, Texas, on September 14.

This footage, shared by the Georgetown Fire Department, shows firefighters catch the kitten as it is flushed down the drain after a more than two-hour search.

“After air monitoring and multiple attempts with other devices,” they flushed the kitten out with “a controlled water source” and caught it with a net, the fire department wrote on Facebook.

The department said the kitten was in “good shape” after the rescue and was cared for by a “generous citizen” overnight before being rehoused at an animal shelter. Credit: Georgetown Texas Fire Department via Storyful
