'We Got Candy!' Kid Desperate for Trick-or-Treaters Pleads Down Quiet Newfoundland Street

A 5-year-old boy from St John’s, Newfoundland, was seen and heard pleading down an empty street for kids to stop by and take some Halloween candy, video uploaded on October 31 shows.

Footage recorded by Norma Jean Mahaney shows her son Parker standing at her front porch imploring for trick-or-treaters as he hopes to hand out some candy.

“Kids! Come here! We got candy, look!” Parker can be heard yelling down the quiet street.

“He spent the night out trick-or-treating, and when he came home he was so eager to pass out some candy himself,” Mahaney said. “But there were no children in the area.”

Mahaney told Storyful that as soon as Parker saw people walking up their street, he would run outside to call them over. “Thankfully they did stop over and he handed them two armfuls of treats,” she added. Credit: Norma Jean Mahaney via Storyful
