Golfer Draped in Pride Flag Tackled After Crashing US Open
A “rogue golfer” wearing a Pride flag as a cape was captured sprinting onto the golf course at the US Open tournament in Torrey Pines, California, and hitting a few shots before being tackled by security on June 20.
John Patrick Scheil, a North Carolina resident attending the US Open, caught the moment on video. Scheil told Storyful he saw the man duck under the ropes and run onto the fairway with a club and two golf balls in hand.
In the footage, the man is seen swinging the golf club and dancing around the course before security intervenes.
