Golfball-Size Hailstones Hit Swiss Village
A photographer recorded a hailstorm that hit the Canton of Bern, Switzerland, on July 20.
This video, recorded by Sylvia Michel, shows hailstones “as big as golfballs” repeatedly hitting her vehicle while making thumping noises, as the photographer was driving around the village of Ringgenberg.
Michel told Storyful: “It was a really heavy hailstorm near Lake Brienz. I didn’t expect that. Several cars couldn’t drive anymore or slippered on the road.”
