Golf betting: A 150-to-1 long shot won a PGA event and only one bettor had him ... for $1
By the end of Kyoung-Hoon Lee lapping the field at the PGA's AT&T Byron Nelson tournament this past weekend, a lot of bettors had caught on.
Lee shot an unbelievable 25-under par to win the tournament, winning by three strokes. As the odds dropped, bettors grabbed him. By the end, 11.7% of tickets and 27.9% of handle at BetMGM was on Lee to win. When Lee took down the tournament as a huge underdog, he earned the final spot in this week's PGA Championship.
Before the tournament? Nobody had Lee. Actually, that's not true. One person bet Lee to win the tournament.

Lee was one of many names on the end of the odds list before the AT&T Byron Nelson started last week. Lee was 150-to-1 to win the tournament, but it's not like people were rushing to bet him.
BetMGM said that before the tournament, there was one bet on Lee to win. It was a $1 bet to win $150.
Hey, how often have you won any 150-to-1 bet in your life? Even for a dollar, that's a pretty fun ticket to cash.
Lee got the win as a crazy underdog and got an entry into this week's major. One bettor had a great story to tell about the 150-to-1 shot that came in.
The house would probably be pleased if only $1 was bet on the eventual champion of this week's PGA Championship.
