Goldie Hawn is spending some quality time with her family.

On Tuesday, June 25, the actress, 78, shared a photo on Instagram as she posed outside with her granddaughter Rio, 10, on their family vacation. Both grandmother and granddaughter, who bore striking resemblances to each other, wore sunglasses and smiled as they put their faces together, posing for the camera.

"Vacationing with our family! It’s the greatest gift one could ever have ❤️," Hawn wrote in her caption.

Hawn and husband Kurt Russell are grandparents to eight grandkids — daughter Kate Hudson's kids, Ryder RobinsonBingham Hawn Bellamy, and Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa; son Oliver Hudson's kids, Bodhi Hawn HudsonWilder Brooks Hudson, and Rio Hudson; and son Wyatt Russell's son, Buddy Prine Russell and a second son.

Appearing on the cover of Variety last March, the First Wives Club actress spoke about how her kids Kate and Oliver are thriving in their careers, leading the grandmother of eight to move on and share her wisdom with her grandkids instead.

"You've got to work for a living, stay compassionate and stay realistic," she told the outlet. "And I'm passing that on because that was what my father taught me: Stay in reality. Don't get taken away with everything."

"The rest of it is up to them," Hawn continued. "Being there for them and knowing that they're going to have to work stuff out themselves, as hard as it is."

A year prior, Hawn talked to PEOPLE about how her kids have implemented some of the parenting strategies they were raised with in raising their own kids.

"My children are really great with their children," Hawn told PEOPLE. "They've taken MindUP principles and offered them to their kids, and they're doing great."

"So that's the way it works. As a parent, you basically raise your children to raise their children appropriately as well. So that's that domino effect," she added. "And as parents, we have a tremendous responsibility."
