Golden Gate Bridge Wrapped in Mist as Fog Season Starts in San Francisco

Stunning timelapse footage recorded in and around San Francisco showed a sea of mist rolling over the Golden Gate Bridge and through hills, as fog season started in the Bay Area.

The beautiful visuals were recorded by photo creative Shreenivasan Manievannan, who told Storyful that he was out “chasing the elusive Milky Way” when he came across the Golden Gate Bridge “shrouded with low fog.”

An iconic feature of San Francisco, fog occurs most between April and October, with August, known as ‘Fogust’, being its peak. Credit: Shreenivasan Manievannan via Storyful
