Gladys Li wins her third newcomer trophy at JSG Awards
22 Jan – Winning another Best Newcomer award at the 2019 Jade Solid Gold Awards, Gladys Li stated that she is grateful to be acknowledged by the Hong Kong music industry this year.
The singer, who spoke to the media at the event said that she didn't expect to win again after having been honoured with the title at the Metro Radio Hits Awards and the CRHK Ultimate Song Chart Awards last year.
"I am pleased with my performance last year. These awards have given me a shot of confidence in my music journey," she said, adding that she hopes to challenge herself further in future events.
Gladys also took to social media to express her happiness over the win, writing, "Thank you JSG, thank you TVB! I hope that this year I will be able to make more exciting music, without the status of a newcomer."
The singer shared the Most Popular Rookie awards with Bella Lam and Zac Liu.
