‘Ghosts,’ ‘Fire Country’ Renewed at CBS
CBS has renewed the comedy “Ghosts” for Season 4 and the drama “Fire Country” for Season 3.
Both shows launched their new seasons in mid-February due to the impact last year’s dual writers’ and actors’ strike had on broadcast production schedules.

“’Ghosts’ and ‘Fire Country’ are proven viewer favorites on both broadcast and streaming thanks to exceptional storytelling, talented actors and an ever-growing fan base,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “We are elated to keep the momentum going and bring them back to CBS next season.”
Per CBS, “Ghosts” is currently averaging 10.2 million viewers per episode in Live+7 multiplatform viewing, while “Fire Country” is averaging 9.2 million.
Ghosts” is based on the UK series of the same name. The American version stars Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky and Devon Chandler
Joe Port and Joe Wiseman developed the series for television and serve as executive producers and showrunners. Additional executive producers are: Trent O’Donnell, Jay Karas, Matthew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond and Martha Howe-Douglas as well as Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, Alison Owen of Monumental Television, and Angie Stephenson of BBC Studios. CBS Studios produces in association with Lionsgate Television and BBC Studios’ Los Angeles production arm.
Max Thieriot leads the cast of “Fire Country,” which also stars Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer. Thieriot co-created the series along with Tony Phelan and Joan Rater. All three serve as executive producers along with showrunner Tia Napolitano as well as Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed of Jerry Bruckheimer Television. The series is produced by CBS Studios.
This marks the latest announcement from CBS for the 2024-2025 broadcast season. The network most recently announced it had ordered a spinoff of “Young Sheldon” focused on Georgie and Mandy, while the freshman drama “Tracker” has been renewed for Season 2. CBS is also prepping an “NCIS” prequel series that has cast Austin Stowell has a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
