Ghana: dozens of unemployed young people run and queue hoping to secure a job

This shocking footage filmed on October 28 shows dozens of people running towards Ghana's largest stadium, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, in the city of Kumasi, hoping to get a job in the Ghana Immigration Service. This comes after the Minister of Finance, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta, announced the recruitment of approximately 12,000 people in the police, prison, immigration, and education services. Long queues of unemployed young people stand outside the stadium. They wait to go through various application stages which include screening, body, and height check. According to The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), 4,000 out of 7,000 applicants qualified for the final test, held on October 30.
