KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 — A Japanese man who spent ¥2 million (RM65,632) on a Rough Collie costume to fulfil his dream of becoming a dog has gotten himself a cage to complete his fantasy.

The canine cosplayer, who identified himself as Toco, said the cage would allow him to live the canine lifestyle, India Times reported.

In a video shared on his channel, Toco is locked in the cage, pawing at the bars and pleading to be released.

He is also leashed when he prepares to go for walks.

And to demonstrate what a good dog he is, Toco would offer a toy in exchange for head scratches.

Explaining his actions, Toco said he had wanted to be an animal all his life and he chose Collie as it was his favourite breed.

It was previously reported that Toco paid Zeppet — a company that makes costumes for TV commercials and films — to make the Collie costume and it took them 40 days and multiple revisions to create.
