But there are two conditions of entry
(SOUNDBITE) (German) MARION ALIABADI, MANAGER OF DESIGN TRAVEL AGENCY, SAYING:
"One must be healthy, as not be recovering from flu for example. Everybody can fly if that’s established. There is no limit. But of course, you must have the money – that $250,000 so that you can afford the one-hour flight. Those are the only two preconditions."
So far eight people have booked tickets
All of them are male
(SOUNDBITE) (German) MARION ALIABADI, MANAGER OF DESIGN TRAVEL AGENCY, SAYING:
"Maybe it's also this idea of being a pioneer - being one of the first tourists in space. Because it has only been astronauts so far. And not many. If you have a look, it wasn't that many. And to be able to say 'I did this', 'I experienced that.' Or 'I crossed another border.' It's like a test, 'What else I can achieve?' People are like this, they want to go further, they want to expand their horizons. And it might be especially appealing to people who have already achieved so much."
