Gerald Anderson not worried about competition for new series

22 Jan – Gerald Anderson is not worried at all of the competition for his new series, "A Soldier's Heart", due to its similarity in theme to GMA-7's new series, "Descendants of the Sun".

As reported on Pika Daily, the actor who was asked about the competition between the two military-related shows during the press conference of the said series, stated that he would not let himself be pressured by that particular detail despite how competitive he is in person.

"The real goal of the show is to send a message to viewers regarding the Philippine military. All we want is to get the message across, for the people to see it," he added.

He used the example of the military's assistance to the victims of the Taal Volcano eruption, saying that it is important that the public sees all kinds of work that the military is doing.

Helmed by Richard Romes, the new series also co-stars Nash Aguas, Vin Abrenica, Carlo Aquino, Sue Ramirez, and Yves Flores.

On the other hand, "Descendants of the Sun" is a remake of the hit Korean series of the same name and stars Dingdong Dantes, Jennylyn Mercado, and Rocco Nacino.
