George, Charlotte and Louis are actual mini-mes of William and Kate
Yesterday, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis melted the nation's hearts as they enthusiastically joined in to 'Clap for our Carers' - a social media campaign to thank our amazing NHS staff for everything they have done - and are about to do - in the fight against coronavirus.
At 8pm last night, Kate Middleton and Prince William's @KensingtonRoyal Instagram account posted a video of the three young royals clapping in the garden, to coincide with the moment people across the UK stood at their doors, windows and balconies to applaud carers.
Aside from how adorable it was to see the young Cambridges joining in to support our frontline workers, followers noticed something else about George, Charlotte and Louis: they have become actual mini-mes of their parents, William and Kate. Even down to the way they're dressed!
Princess Charlotte can be seen in the video wearing a navy blue and white stripy long-sleeved top with blue jeans, as she claps and smiles at the camera. And it's uncannily similar to a look her mum, Kate Middleton, was photographed wearing at a charity polo match in 2015. Charlotte was just a baby then, but it seems now she's old enough to choose what she wears, she's being inspired by her mum.
Prince Louis, whose appearance in the video was his first in public this year, was dressed in some blue trousers, with an adorable little checked shirt and light blue jumper combo. Remarkably reminiscent of an outfit his dad, Prince William, wore back in 2012, when he was pictured leaving a hospital with a pregnant Kate, who had been suffering with intense morning sickness.
Then we've got Prince George, who was perhaps the least matchy with his dad, but still had some echoes of a previous Prince William outfit. George was wearing an all-navy ensemble; a short-sleeved polo shirt with blue chinos, channelling a similar look to Prince William, when he visited an Essex sporting village back in 2018.
Well, as they say: A family who dresses like each other... loves... each other? No, nobody says that. Anyway, it's cute how the mini Cambridges are already morphing into their parents. More of that to cheer us up in these bleak times, please.
