Turns out you can find more than just dances challenges and Timothée Chalamet montages on TikTok. From creating succulent hangers to installing cabinets with Play-Doh, the video-sharing platform has tons of creative home decor DIY ideas and hacks. Well, if you're looking for an easy way to add more light in your home, this TikTok shows you how to install lighting without an electrician. You won't even need an outlet.

In Christine's (@_forthehome) video, she takes viewers through the simple lighting hack. All you need is a light fixture, PVC fitting, and a puck light that comes with a remote. Once you have your materials, simply glue PVC fitting to the back of a puck light. After it dries, screw it into the light socket like you would a light bulb. And voilà—you can light up your space from virtually anywhere with the click of a button.

The caption of the video sites Nesting With Grace as inspo for the DIY. In a blog post, Brooke Christen, the blogger behind Nesting With Grace, calls a similar light hack a "magic light trick." Instead of PVC pipe, Christen uses wire to turn sconces into a light source with no hardwiring required. Whether you use wire or PVC pipe, the key to this trick is puck lights.
