Gemma Collins has thrown her name into the ring to be the next James Bond, saying she’s got a “licence to thrill”.

The reality star – aka The GC – reckons she would be perfect to step into the role now that Daniel Craig is hanging up the keys to his Aston Martin.

In fact, she said playing the first female version of the suave spy would be her “dream job”.

She said on her podcast: “I’d love to do a particular job that is all about keeping secrets. Namely being an international super spy.

“This would be my dream job.

"I am constantly obsessed with watching action movies and I can see myself being the first female Bond.”

"A plus size girl, an Essex girl... the name is Bond, Gemma Bond - it’s got a great ring to it,” added the TOWIE star.

Collins said if she was cast as the first female Bond she wouldn't change too much as she is already a fan of the high-octane movies.

But she did insist that she wouldn't put on a "fancy accent" for the part.

Upcoming film No Time To Die is Craig’s last outing as Bond and there has been plenty of speculation about who will take over as 007.

Idris Elba was thought to be a frontrunner for a long time, although he has played down the rumours in the past.
