But Atkinson, 37, told New magazine the wedding won't be happening for a while, adding: "Gorka is literally on tour all of this year. We've only got four days off together.
"He's got the two Strictly tours back to back, and then he'll be going on Strictly in the autumn. We don't even have a minute to sit down and begin making plans!"
The soap star also admitted on Vicky Pattison's podcast The Secret To that the couple would rather focus on having a brother or sister for two-year-old Mia than planning a big wedding.
She said: "We've said we would prefer to try for another baby rather than have a big, fancy wedding.
"There are people who will spend £50k on a wedding and you think, 'Oh my God'.
"Twice we thought about going to the registry office and just doing it and then having a big party."
Watch: Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez got engaged on Valentine's Day
Atkinson and Spanish dancer Marquez, 31, revealed they had become engaged on Valentine's Day last year.
She posted on Instagram a picture of the couple on a wintry walk by a lake, with her sparkling diamond engagement ring visible on her finger.
She captioned the image: "Valentine’s forever...Of course I said yes."
Marquez added: "The best day with my forever Valentine’s. I asked and she said YES!!!!!! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone."
Atkinson met Marquez in 2017 when she took part in Strictly, although her dancing partner in the show was Aljaz Skorjanec while Marquez was paired with singer and West End star Alexandra Burke.
Marquez said: “It wasn’t until after Strictly finished that we started to hang out properly together. During Strictly time we didn’t see each other.
“On tour we started to spend a lot of time together. We both love training, we both love brunch.”
