Gavin and Stacey's Alison Steadman "doubts" there will be more episodes
Gavin & Stacey broke huge records when it returned for a one-off special over Christmas, and talk of more episodes has been rife ever since.
However, Pam Shipman actress Alison Steadman has doubts that more is on the way, and for a very understandable reason.
"Honestly, I have no idea," she said when asked about more on today's (February 28) This Morning. "I would doubt it, only because James [Corden] is in America – such a big star now – Ruth [Jones] is so busy, she's writing novels. So I doubt it."

When Eamonn Holmes suggested the idea of more specials, Alison suggested: "A special would be amazing, but we'll see."
Speaking about signing-up for a return, the actress recalled: "It was the best thing, because we never thought it would happen. I was convinced, it had been 10 years, I'd asked over and over again. And I said, 'no, it's definitely not going to happen, let's just let it lie.'
"And suddenly I got a text from Ruth Jones, and she said, 'if this happened would you be willing to take part.' And I nearly dropped my phone."
Meanwhile, co-star Rob Brydon recently poured cold water on the idea of more Gavin & Stacey episodes, arguing it should be left where it is.
"There are no plans whatsoever and personally I would say leave it where it is, with people wanting more," he said. "That's always my instinct, and I said that before this special and I was very surprised then to see that they had written it.
"Everybody is saying, 'you must want to do more', but I'd much rather leave it on a high and it's really hard to come back after 10 years and make something as popular as this has been, because you can get it wrong."
Gavin & Stacey's 2019 Christmas special is available now on DVD.
